Mayor Zacher proclaims August as National Breastfeeding Month

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mayor Matt Zacher has officially proclaimed August as National Breastfeeding Month in the City of Wisconsin Rapids, recognizing the important role breastfeeding plays in supporting the health and well-being of infants, parents and families.
The proclamation encourages the community to support policies and resources that help pregnant and postpartum families access the care and support they need. National Breastfeeding Month highlights the value of improving health outcomes and strengthening support systems for families throughout the community.
City bridges will be lit in pinks and purples until Aug. 9 to recognize National Breastfeeding Month.
