WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Help support Kent Ott’s fight with lung cancer Saturday, Oct. 10 at Ryder’s Roadhouse from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be something for everyone; food and bake sales, live music, gun, sportsman, and basket raffles and more.
Kent was born and raised in Wisconsin Rapids and worked proudly for 20 years as a sheet metal journeyman. He and his wife Heather have been married for 24 years and together built a life centered on family, faith and people they love. Diagnosed with stage IV non-small cell lung cancer (adenocarcinoma) with malignant pleural effusion in September of 2025, Kent was unable to continue working. He continues thoracenteses, to drain fluid from around his lung while undergoing specialized radiation treatment. The financial burden of medical expenses, travel and time away from work continues to grow. The community can help at the benefit or by giving to the Kent Ott benefit at Paper Cities Savings Bank on 8th Street in Wisconsin Rapids.
An outdoorsman at heart, Kent enjoys bow hunting and musky fishing. He has volunteered with the Little Britches Rodeo and the Tri-City Riding Club, supporting youth and the equestrian community.
Admission is free and open to the public. Bring your friends and family to have fun and support Kent.
