Domtar names Craig Helgeson Nekoosa general manager

NEKOOSA – Domtar has announced the appointment of Craig Helgeson as the general manager of the company’s Nekoosa mill. Helgeson has served as Nekoosa’s interim general manager since July 2026, bringing a focus on best practices that, according to the company, is already starting to pay off.
Helgeson has an impressive 34-year career in the paper industry, holding a variety of leadership positions at over ten paper mills across the United States. Before joining Domtar, he served as general manager of Pixelle Specialty Solutions’ paper mill in Chillicothe, Ohio, and as general manager of its Stevens Point, Wis. operation. Helgeson is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he earned a degree in Paper Science Engineering.
