WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Adam Kaup, a human performance major from Wisconsin Rapids and graduate of Lincoln High School, will compete for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s soccer team during the 2026 season, which began Sept. 4.
UW-Whitewater was selected to finish second in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in a preseason poll of the conference’s head coaches and sports information directors.
The Warhawks are coming off their fourth WIAC regular season championship and 15th NCAA Tournament in program history. UW-Whitewater finished the season with a 14-3-3 record, going 4-0-1 in conference play to claim a share of the regular season title.
Head Coach Tony Guinn enters his 14th season with the program, now holding the record for most wins at the helm of the Warhawk men’s soccer program with 167. Coach Guinn returns 23 letterwinners from the 2025 WIAC champion squad, including seven starters.
Among those starters is Adam Kaup, who only appeared in five games in 2025. In those five games, Kaup recorded four assists over 320 minutes.
The Warhawks began their season with a three-game road stretch, which started at Monmouth on Sept. 4. The Warhawks make their home opener on Saturday, Sept. 12 at 5 p.m. against Marian. UWW will face UW-Stout for its WIAC opener on Sunday, Oct. 4.
