Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre presents holiday classic “A Christmas Story”

Posted

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Wisconsin Rapids Community Theatre is thrilled to bring the beloved holiday classic A Christmas Story to the stage this December under the direction of Christine Sullivan. Performances will take place at WRCT’s performance space, located at 220 3rd Ave. South, on the following dates: Thursday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 12 at 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Dec. 13 at 2 p.m.
This festive production captures the nostalgia, humor, and heartfelt moments of the iconic story, brought to life by a dedicated group of local kids and adults who have been working tirelessly to make the show shine.
This year’s production is a celebration of teamwork both onstage and off. Local businesses — including Fey Printing, Wood Avenue Wonders, Bowlmor Lanes and WAMinkorporated — have generously contributed props and materials, helping create the charming world of the 1940s Christmas season. Their support highlights the strength and spirit of community partnership that keeps local theatre thriving.
To make each performance even more memorable, WRCT will be hosting several exciting raffles during the show dates. Audience members will have the chance to win big holiday items such as a Red Ryder BB Gun, the iconic Leg Lamp, festive seasonal baskets and even participate in a 50/50.
From building sets to rehearsing lines and choreography, everyone involved has contributed their talents to create a warm, funny and nostalgic holiday experience.
With the busy holiday season underway, WRCT hopes community members can find time to join them for an evening (or afternoon) of festive storytelling, laughter and local talent.
