Posted

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Central Wisconsin Cultural Center is accepting submissions for “Rural Visions,” a juried art exhibition celebrating country life and pastoral themes.
The center invites emerging and established artists to submit original artwork that offers historical or cultural insight into rural life, captures agrarian beauty or reflects on countryside nostalgia. All media will be considered, including painting, ceramics, sculpture, jewelry and more.
Artists may submit up to three original pieces that have not previously appeared in Cultural Center exhibits, gift shops or holiday shows. The entry fee is $10 per artist.
Entries will be accepted Sept. 2-4 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the center, located at 2651 8th St. S.
The exhibition will feature two cash awards: one juried award and one people’s choice award selected by public voting.

A soft opening is scheduled for Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with public voting for the people’s choice award running through Sept. 17. An opening reception and awards ceremony will be held Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The exhibition runs Sept. 9 through Oct. 23, with the center open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., or by appointment. Artists may retrieve their work Oct. 28-30 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Entry forms are available at https://culturalcenterarts.com/call-for-art.html. Artists are responsible for their own insurance, and the center is not liable for damage.
