Posted

NEKOOSA – Volleyball players and community members are invited to take part in the Block 4 Brown volleyball tournament and fundraiser, set for Aug. 9 at Lakeside Fire Campground in Nekoosa.
The event, hosted in partnership with the Gilbert Brown Foundation, will raise funds to support children, families and veterans throughout Wisconsin. Up to 15 co-ed teams of six players (3 men and 3 women) will compete on three grass courts from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. The registration fee is $120 per team.
Beyond the tournament, the day offers family-friendly activities including food stands, a snack shack, mobile bar, raffles, pool and inflatable access. Registered players will also receive 10% off weekend camping at the campground.
The Gilbert Brown Foundation, founded by former Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Gilbert Brown, supports more than 150 Wisconsin children’s charities and projects, from anti-bullying education to holiday toy drives and help for military families. Its mission is to ensure that “money raised in Wisconsin stays in Wisconsin.”
For more information or to register, call (715) 886-3871.
