Town of Rome to hold solar meeting

ROME – On Saturday, Sept. 27, the Town of Rome will hold a meeting regarding adding solar panels to the community. Akron Solar, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of NextEra Energy Resources, filed a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) application with the Public Service Commission of Wisconsin (PSC) in April 2025, requesting permission for the project.
The town will be discussing current strategies as well as the payment schedule offered to property owners participating in the project.
