Road work update: gas line work, other projects

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Street closures are scheduled in Wisconsin Rapids over the coming weeks due to utility work and city reconstruction projects.
The city has extended a street closure on 14th Avenue North due to ongoing reconstruction work. The closure, which originally ran between Fremont Street and High Street, now extends to West Grand Avenue. The project began at 7 a.m. July 8 and is expected to continue until early September. Local detours remain in place.
McKinley Street between 13th Avenue North and 14th Avenue North closed to through traffic Aug. 5 as part of a street reconstruction project spanning from Eighth Avenue North to 14th Avenue North. The closure is expected to last through the end of October.
