WISCONSIN RAPIDS – As a result of Prevail Bank’s Community Shred Day event in Wisconsin Rapids, $2,550 was raised for United Way of South Wood and Adams Counties, supporting families and individuals in need throughout the area.
Both Prevail Bank and Bank-A-Count pledged to donate $1 for every pound of paper shredded, up to $1,000 each — and the community rose to the challenge, bringing in a whopping 4,231
pounds of documents to be safely destroyed and recycled. The public chipped in an additional $550 in donations, bringing the total gift to $2,550.
A special check presentation was held at Prevail Bank. Tari Jahns, United Way CEO accepted the big check from Julie Ann Siegler, Prevail Bank’s VP Mortgage Sales Manager, Mandi Goodness, Prevail Bank’s Branch Manager and Brian Ashbeck, Prevail Bank’s VP Commercial Lending Officer.
“This event was a win-win,” said Goodness. “We helped people protect their personal information while supporting a cause that makes a real difference right here in our community.”
