Hoerneman joins Wisconsin Hospital Association Board of Directors

Posted

MARSHFIELD – Marshfield Clinic region of Sanford Health President/CEO Brian Hoerneman, M.D., was recently elected to the Wisconsin Hospital Association Board of Directors as an at-large nominee.

His three-year term begins Jan. 1.

“I’m honored to have been elected to the WHA Board of Directors, joining other system leaders in support and advocacy of key issues that impact our hospitals and provider practices,” Hoerneman said.

“WHA has an over 100-year history of advocating for hospitals and the health of patients and communities in Wisconsin and beyond. Governmental polices impact so many aspects of healthcare from quality and safety to licensing and accreditation to reimbursement and funding, the list goes on. It’s critical to have Marshfield Clinic and Sanford Health’s input and voice in those conversations.”

Hoerneman started with Marshfield Clinic in 2004 as an emergency medicine physician and continues his clinical practice.

He has also held various leadership roles, most recently interim president for Marshfield Medical Center and interim Executive Vice President of Clinical Care Delivery.

Hoerneman oversaw Marshfield Clinic’s partnership and integration with Sanford Health, which became official in January 2025.
