Riverkings go 1-1 in Boston

BOSTON, MA – The Riverkings had an eventful Showcase, as they were able to watch the Merrimack NCAA game before playing Nov. 16 at Merrimack College in Boston.
Merrimack faced off against Providence, whose associate coach is one of Coach Quarters’ former players, Kris Mayott. Coach Mayott spoke to the team before the game that night.
The Riverkings fell to the Hitmen 3-2 that night. Cole Creger started off the scoring, while Ey and Adam Peterson claimed the assists. However, the Hitmen evened the game at 1-1 right before the end of the half.
In the second half, the Riverkings were able to get on the board with an unassisted goal from Adam Peterson.
The Riverkings had a solid weekend-ending win Nov. 17 with Drake Bradshaw getting his first Junior A shutout.
Adam Peterson started off the game early with Cole Creger and Thimo assisting. Bradly McDonald slid one in with the help of Zack Miceli and Collin Moore.
In the second half, Luke Millius scored with the help of Tanner Dey and Kyle Smith. Bradly McDonald grabbed his second of the night with the help of Payton Carter and Jordan Stear. The final score read 4-0. The Riverkings overall record this weekend split 2-2 in the showcase.
The Riverkings grabbed a post-game flight to head back for a week break. After Thanksgiving, the Riverkings will head back to Minnesota to play the Blue Ox on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
