March 28, 2019
Vehicle break-in
On March 28 at 6:22 a.m. a Wisconsin Rapids woman reported that her vehicle had been broken into. The complainant stated that the car had been in her garage and that one the the vehicle’s windows had been smashed.
Attempted assault
On March 28 at 9:14 p.m. it was reported by a Wisconsin Rapids female that a male subject had broken the back window of her car and had attempted to come after her. The male then took off down an alley and fled the scene. The man was wearing all black but his identity is unknown.
March 29, 2019
Needle hoard found
On March 29 at 7:33 p.m. a Wisconsin Rapids male reported that he had discovered a big bag of needles and cans of compressed air at the end of a driveway. The man stated that the stash could be found just passed the Wisconsin Rapids boat landing by the sign that says bank fishing access.
April 1, 2019
Police Threats
On April 1 it was reported that there was a male subject outside of the Wood County Courthouse who was threatening to kill the police. A deputy was requested to deal with the situation.
A wanted person
A 32-year-old Marshfield male is being sought by police. The man’s driver’s license was revoked, and he is currently on probation for retail theft, credit card fraud, and possession of meth. Police are currently trying to make contact with individuals and addresses associated with the man.
Welfare Check
On April 1 at 6:14 p.m. it was anonymously reported that there were two little girls standing on the street with signs saying that the were homeless. The complainant stated that both girls only looked to be around six or seven years old and that they were both wearing black sweatshirts. It was stated that no adults were seen around.
