Jeanette H. Stenzel
Jeanette H. Stenzel, age 94, of the Town of Rome, passed away on September 26, 2018 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Funeral services for Jeanette will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Nekoosa, Wisconsin. Father John Swing will officiate the service. The family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday morning at the church from 9:30 – 11:00 AM. Entombment will take place Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Jeanette was born on March 27, 1924 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Christ and Frieda (Neils) DeLeeuw. She married Raymond T. Stenzel on November 22, 1947 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on November 26, 2007.
Jeanette started work in foodservice and held a variety of jobs from waitressing to managing delis. However, she was most proud of working as a bookkeeper at Servomation Corp. in Milwaukee. In her free time, Jeanette served as treasuer for the VFW Auxilliary in Menomonee Falls. She enjoyed playing cards, danced the polka, and fishing.
Jeanette is survived by her daughter Janice Ziegler of Rome, Wisconsin, grandchildren Renee (Adam) Boehler and Amanda (Robert) Femal, two great-grandchildren Ryan and Brittany Boehler, brothers Lee DeLeeuw and Tom (Bernice) DeLeeuw and sister Bernice Quammen, and many loving nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, sister Elaine Stippich and brothers Don DeLeeuw and Christ DeLeeuw Jr.
